The exterior of this tote is constructed using fabric remnants of a luscious brown-olive green cotton tweed. Floral fabric remnants accent its front pocket, the bag lining, the insides of its handles, and its edges. It’s also an incredibly sturdy bag for carrying hefty items.
This bag was an experiment in how to work with bias binding for myself as a maker so the various bindings and edgings on this tote are a testament to my learning process. I was also going through an “all thing pockets” phase and, happily, had just enough of the floral fabric left to add the pocket post-construction.
